Currently
in production in Hollywood, California, a new Nigerian/African
reality/comedy TV series titled Shakara, created and produce by Izogie
Lucky Osas (aka Cros), and co-produce by Ubong Eton. Shakara (Nigerian
pigeon English slang meaning to make someone else a victim of prank and
joke) a Nigerian hidden camera practical joke television series, shot
entirely in the Hollywood/Los Angeles metropolis, targeted at Nigerian
audience is to be aired on various television networks in Nigeria/other
Africa countries and in the U.S. by the first quater of next year. The
UK and Nigerian version is to come later.
In this reality TV series, Africans, mostly Nigerians (ordinary people
and celebrities alike), are squeezed and stretch to their breaking
point by a make-believe situation posed at them by a multi-racial cast
of characters and pranksters through the assistance of an accomplice(s)
(friends and/or close relatives). Our mark (targeted victims) are
expected to
express Fear, frustration, anger and/or excitement as they find
themselves in the middle of this awkward situation and make believe
circumstances that is most of the time beyond their control.
